Reviewing our 45th Anniversary
Comedian Richard Lewis visits to seenew rehab houses and speak with patients
The 45th Anniversary Celebration on September 22 was an outstanding success. We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the hundreds who attended, our sponsoring Community and Scholarship Partners, silent-auction bidders, and everyone who invested their time, energy, funds or other resources in the outcome.
The evening's keynote speaker, comedian and author Richard Lewis (a regular on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm) visited the Bensalem campus the morning of the event. He toured the new rehab residences, learned more about our mission (he was really prepared already!) and shared a few encouraging and honest words with the patients and staff about his personal journey. Later, almost three hundred guests came together to enjoy his appearance and the presentation of the Hansell Award for Excellence in Addiction Treatment to Dr. Thomas McLellan of the University of Pennsylvania.
