50th ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN 2017-11-23T01:41:23+00:00

Creating a 21st Century Treatment Center:  Livengrin’s 50th Anniversary Campaign

The tens of thousands of people who have been helped on their road to recovery join us in thanking our supporters, and urge you to join in supporting our mission and our work.

To serve more of the people who need it, Livengrin must continue to upgrade and expand the capacity of our main campus. Throughout 2017, as we celebrate 50 years of providing life-saving programs, we have organized a campaign to attract critical funding for:

  • A larger Medical Center
  • A new Community Education Center

These are two critically-needed components of its long term plan. This follows the building of new inpatient residential quarters and renovation of the main building, all financed internally. For this campaign, we have turned to the community that values our services to help provide the financial resources necessary to create a 21st Century Treatment Center.

Individuals who make the critical decision to get treatment are seeking immediate placement.  Too often Livengrin is forced to defer admission because of space constraints.  A day or two of delay can be the difference between a life of recovery and a return to destructive behaviors.

Livengrin’s Medical Center provides life-saving services as addicts go through the difficult physical process of withdrawal.  This is the critical first step in recovery from the devastating disease of addiction.

A new Medical Center will increase capacity by almost 40%, to 36 beds.  The spaces for private nursing, medical and counseling services are doubled.   Modern treatment demands for intimate dialogue, trust and personalization will be met in this new Medical Center.

Livengrin has been at the forefront of specialized education and recovery programs customized to meet the needs of various groups.  Police, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, nurses, combat veterans– experience some of the most stressful and dangerous situations in modern life.  Livengrin has pioneered effective recovery for these real-life heroes.

In a new building at the entrance to campus, Livengrin will provide a private dedicated space for specialized programs.  The Community Education Center will include an auditorium, community meeting room, conference room – all designed to provide more of the community with critically needed education about the public health emergency of addiction.  The new Gambling Education Program will be in this new building, as well.

There is a life-threatening health crisis in the United States today.  The abuse of alcohol, prescription and illicit drugs is a public health epidemic.  Far too many families in our communities are urgently seeking help for loved ones suffering from addiction.

Unfortunately, only 10% of sufferers who need treatment receive it at a specialty facility.

Livengrin’s life-saving services are needed more today than ever.  Livengrin has always been in the forefront of developing and deploying professional, accessible, and successful treatment options that can lead to recovery.  Each year, Livengrin provides 4,000 men and women with a full continuum of care that usually starts on our main campus and continues through a network of 7 outpatient locations.
