President & CEO
Al Mezzaroba is the former president and CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa. Prior to his position at the hospital, he completed a five-year tenure as President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority and served as Chief Legal Counsel for Anna Verna, President of the City Council of Philadelphia.
Vice President for Marketing
Mike has over 25 years of experience driving revenue and profit growth in three different markets: government, CPG, and most recently, healthcare . After 25 years working in manufacturing Mike came to Livengrin and is delighted to be devoting his expertise and effort to a cause for which he
has personal interest and passion. Mike holds a B.A from the University of Delaware and an M.B.A from the Penn StateUniversity. Mike lives in Warrington, PA and enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and an occasional round of golf.
Scott F. Blacker
Vice President for Development
Scott joined Livengrin Foundation after spending 20 years in management positions in government, marketing and development for non-profit fundraising organizations. He recently served as Director of Development for Penn Council for Relationships and as Director of External Affairs
with the prestigious LEAD Program where Scott managed corporate relationships with top 100 companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, and Johnson & Johnson, helping to raise millions of dollars in new funding for summer business and engineering institutes at Penn, Stanford, Villanova, and other LEAD related colleges.Earlier in his career, Scott held senior fundraising roles for Pennsylvania gubernatorial, mayoral and Supreme Court candidates and national non-profit organizations including the Jewish National Fund, being named JNF Campaign Executive of the Year 2005 for the US.
Scott graduated with a business degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he served as student government president. He did graduate work in public administration at Temple University. He is principal in the web design firm Blacker Communications in Bucks County, PA. When Scott isn’t busy fundraising for Livengrin, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.

VP for Patient Services and Quality Improvement
In her 25 years with Livengrin, Sue has challenged the organization to constantly improve and has held many important leadership roles including facilities and nutritional services, admissions, marketing, UR, quality, and contracting. This unique and varied experience provides invaluable insight
into her current executive role.
Sue is most passionate about ensuring all patients are treated with dignity and respect and that their experience with the Foundation is a positive one; not only for them – but for their family members and referral sources as well. Sue has a particular passion toward seeing patients and families become healthier and stronger throughout their recovery process. While she has implemented many new initiatives at Livengrin, her work in helping drive the “Ride for Recovery” stands out. Since its creation, the ride has helped reduce the stigma of addiction and has raised well over $1M for those who might otherwise not be able to afford treatment. Sue is the 2017 recipient of the Pat Curran Award presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of EAPA, which recognizes those who are devoted to the EAP profession and whose love, dedication and sincerity in forging connections with everyone they meet is appreciated. Sue lives in Bucks County and enjoys spending time with her family.
William J. Lorman, JD, PhD, MSN, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP
Vice President for Clinical Services
Dr. Lorman is also a practicing provider of psychiatric and addictions care as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification in addictions. In addition, Dr. Lorman serves as an Adjunct Professor for Immaculata University, as a Clinical Assistant Professor at
Drexel University, and is the past president of the International Nurses Society on Addictions. Dr. Lorman earned his BA at LaSalle College, his PhD at the American Institute, and completed post-doctoral certification in psychoanalysis at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis. Dr. Lorman earned his MSN at MCP-Hahnemann University and his JD at Taft University. Dr. Lorman is the author of numerous publications on addictions.
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Charlie has over 30 years of commercial experience – starting as an auditor and moving through the ranks as CFO, President and CEO at a national publishing firm and then at an international B2B information company. After a stint in the hospitality industry, Charlie joined Livengrin’s Board of
Directors in 2009 and is now delighted to be devoting his wide-range of experience to the mission of Livengrin Foundation. Charlie holds a BS and MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a CPA certificate from New York State. Charlie lives in Millstone Township, NJ and enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren.
Director of Outpatient Services
Charlie has been working in the behavioral healthcare field for the past 16 years. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Alvernia University in Behavioral Health Studies. During his graduate studies at Alvernia, Charlie was awarded the Caron Award of Excellence whom the university
designates as someone in the Behavioral Health Studies Program that personifies outstanding achievement academically and has received positive peer recognition that has made significant personal contributions.
In addition to his advanced studies, Charlie has received post graduate instruction and certification on a variety of behavioral healthcare topics and therapeutic approaches, including advanced state board training in Clinical Supervision. Charlie has also received training and non-matriculated graduate level education pertaining to behavioral healthcare management, leadership, marketing, finance and human resources. Charlie served as an adjunct instructor at the university level and currently provides training and mentorship to inspire those who are called to the behavioral health care field. Charlie lives a life of recovery and resides in Bensalem. He enjoys spending time with family and friends fishing, golfing and other outdoor activities.
